General Personnel Requirements
All GCI Trainers Must Satisfy the Following Requirements as well as Additional Criteria According to Specific Program Requirements:
- Must have experience in the job to be trained.
- Must be able to demonstrate physical ability to do the job. |

- Must not have alcohol or drug related problems. Must not have any health or physical disability that will prevent doing the job to the prescribed standard (physical examination by qualified doctor).
- Must be able to instruct and work with interpreters/translators.
- Must be able to pass a police background check with no record of felony behavior/convictions.
- Must be able to work in harmony with persons of other cultures and ethnic backgrounds (if at any time this criteria is violated – reason for immediate removal from program and dismissal).
- Other criteria as specified according to program requirements.
Military Training Requirements
All GCI Military Trainers are Chosen Based on a Set of Specific General Criteria with Additional Criteria According to Contract Requirements:
- Must have graduated appropriate service school in the US Military commensurate with rank of position to be trained.
- Must not have been separated from service for more than 3 years (less preferred) – This insures up-to-date knowledge.
- Must meet General Personnel Requirements.
- Other criteria as specified according to program requirements.
Police Training Requirements
All GCI Police Program Trainers Must Satisfy the Following Requirements as well as Additional Criteria According to Contract Requirements:
- Must be able to provide a letter from police agency of last employment.
- Must be able to provide documentation as to qualifications (i.e. SWAT Trainer, Chemical Defense Spray Trainer Certification etc.)
- Must not have been separated from the police agency of last employment for more than 18 months under honorable conditions.
- Persons chosen to fill police administrative trainer positions must have served as a “Patrol Officer” for at least 2 years.
- Must meet General Personnel Requirements.
- Other criteria as specified according to program requirements. |
